Week 8 - Sharing is caring

Hello everyone! Another week, another opportunity.. This week is all about giving, sharing and caring for those people who are hopeless and in need because of the recent typhoon "Nina" last December. Most of the people in Region 5 particularly in Bicol and Camarines Sur were the victims of the typhoon. Daniel O. Mercado Medical Center will have their medical mission at Camarines Sur on January 22-27, 2017 so let's start this blog entry! On Monday, there are a lot of donations coming from the doctors, nurses, and office employees in our office, in the HR department and also monetary donations. Then we carried the donations to the house of Dr. Dennis Mercado because it is near the hospital. It's kinda heavy so I used the trolley so that it will be easier for me to carry the donations to the house. And after we carried the donations we sort them out and classified the clothes whether it is for male, female and for kids and then we will put them on the sacks. It was really hard to sort out but these donations are for the typhoon victims so we need to do it for the community. Here are some photos of the donations;

Tuesday. Another day, donations just keeps coming and I carried them again to Dr. Dennis Mercado's house and sort it out and later in the afternoon I cut papers and that is the parking receipts and that's all for Tuesday. Moving on to Wednesday.  I only rendered 4 hours last Wednesday because I went to school with my thesis groupmates because we need to accomplish the requirements for the grammarian so that the requirements needed for the grammarian will be good to go and we will gonna pass our whole final copy of our research to the grammarian. Anyway last Wednesday, Ms Cris told us to buy Ralo's cassava cake and cheese. Jayson and I took a lot of time to find the exact location of Ralo's Cassava cake store in Tanauan. We went all over the CitiMart and we asked some people where Ralo's is located and a lady told us that it was at the bus station and we found it! A big thanks to the lady and now we bought 3 boxes of cassava cake and we went back to DMMC.

Thursday. It's a beautiful morning and I encode some medicines using MS Excel and those medicines are for the medical mission in Camarines Sur. Then after that I photocopy some memos and submitted some receipts to the accounting department. And in the afternoon Jayson and I carried the remaining donations (relief goods) to Dr. Dennis Mercado's house and sort it out. Moving on to Friday and probably this day was very indeed productive and exhausting day for me. First thing I did in the morning was I put the ointment to the the cups and it was so hard because there was an ointment which is sticky when you touched it and the other one is very slippery in hands and after that we went to WalterMart Tanauan and we bought some snacks for the doctors and nurses for their trip to Camarines Sur for the medical mission next week and after that we carried it to Dr. Dennis Mercado's house and we sort out the remaining donations and also we carried boxes of medicines for the medical mission. Friday was really indeed very tiring day but the good thing was free lunch and free miryenda 😊

Ointments!!!
This week was very exhausting and productive and I need some sleep because I only slept 5 hours everyday this week and I need to sleep more this weekend so that I can regain my energy that was consumed this week. But for the community programs like this, I'm willing to do to this because it is for the people who are in need and we need to give them some help because they were victimized by the typhoon Nina in the Bicol Region particularly in Camarines Sur that's why the title of this blog entry is "Sharing is caring" 😇.

As of this week, the number of hours that I rendered is 266 hours and the tentative end date of my internship is probably first week of April. Well that's it for Week 8 and make sure you visit and read my blog for more of my weekly experiences in my internship at Daniel O. Mercado Medical Center and also follow me on my social media accounts; the widgets are on the right side of my blog so make sure you hit the follow button and I'll see you all next week! Have a nice weekend everyone!! ✌
